A Little News

I'm very excited to announce that we're expecting in November and...

That makes three boys for us, each nine years apart (really I never planned to have children so far apart, but it's just the way things have worked out, and we're so grateful to have this one on the way).

I would love to hear your favorite names for boys...we need suggestions!

I think it's perfect. You will have had tons of time with each of the boys this way! Congratulations!!! I like the names George, Abraham, Hamilton, Christopher and names like that the once belonged to famous and amazing men from history. Good luck choosing. I hope you finally got your prize.. thanks for being so patient.. :)

Hi Jess, congratulations and all the best! How wonderful. My husband has a sister 16 years younger than he is and they have a very special bond... My favorite names are Anton (like my son), Jasper, Jonathan, Samuel.

Congratulations! :)

Names we considered when we had our son were Aidan, Caleb, and Joshua. I also like Camden.

Wow, congrats! And you'll have free babysitters.

I don't really have a suggestion for names, but don't give him a name that is usually for girls. My coworker has one, and I get the feeling that he really hates it. Also, easy spelling and pronunciation is good, but not so common that he always has to use his last name. People have enough trouble with my name, even though it's becoming more common, but at least they usually know who it is if I say my first name.

Congratulations! What absitively-posilutely wonderful news!

And I was tickled pink to see that the first commenter (Kay) chose Brodey as her favorite name. My son is named Brody -- so of course I agree with her excellent choice of name.

Here is my short list of boy names, in no particular order:

Quinn, Henry, Aiden, Ellis, Lee

Congrats again on your wonderful news!

Congrats! We just had our second boy. Boy names are so hard for us! I just deleted our name list the other day, but I remember some: Harrison, Harley, Alban, Baxter, Dexter, Viggo, Conrad, Sebastian, Elliot, Remy, Lewis... umm that's all I can remember. It was a long list and he still didn't get named until after he was born!

I believe in strong normal names for boys. John, David, Mark, Scott, James names like that.

Congratulations! We like unique names. If we had had another boy, I think he would have been called Field. Or Anders.

Congrats on your pending arrival! My three 'baby boys' are now 28,24 & 21. Nothing wrong with having all boys! Since we have an unusual last name I went with common first names for all of mine - Brian, Timothy & Jason. I must say it is a major pet peeve of mine when people shorten Timothy - and it happens a lot now that he is older. (It never happend before 6th grade)
Anyway - good luck finding the perfect name, and congrats again!
