Today the doorbell rang and no one was there when I opened the door (this happens occasionally at our house), but I looked down and found this on the rug...

and funny because we have a little table outside our front door that ava and max put their treasures on before they walk in the door. leaves and seashells and rocks and twigs and flowers and whatnot and this morning she went outside and created MOM from some of the pieces. which i thought was very cute and original.
